Eat Streets celebrates the best of Sydney’s Restaurants by giving you an easy way to find a great dining experience. Whether you’re organising for a whole group of people or you are making plans for a  romantic dinner for two, Eat Streets can help you!

Eat Streets is the latest site from Universal Magazines, the publishers of the Cheap Eats restaurant guide which was first published in 1981, making it Sydney’s oldest restaurant guide. In recent years this guide was known as Sydney Eats, and even though we've gone back to our original name and have let go of our Flash Eats section, not much has changed — we are still about delivering the best value restaurants around to you, our readers.

Eat Streets ranks restaurants by price using the $ as a symbol. Here’s how it works:

$        average entrée & main for under $30

$$        entrée & main for under $50

As it expands, Eat Streets will cover restaurants in every capital city. But right now, it covers Sydney.

You’ll find features unique to this site (for how long depends on how quickly other sites can copy us!)

Like Restaurant Doctor, an interactive service where our reviewers help you find a restaurant for a special occasion.

Like On Plates Now where we tell you what food’s in season where you live – and what chefs are doing with it.

Like Book Reviews of all the books we love – and maybe even a few we hate.

Like a monthly column Food News with restaurant news, gossip and quirky items for foodlovers all over.

But the main game is a celebration of the very best restaurants and cafes in the areas we cover. And Sydney eats reviewers don’t just eat around the inner city. We go wherever the food is good — from Alexandria to Woolloomooloo via Dural, Terrey Hills, Russel Lea and Panania. If it’s good — we’re there.

As well as prices, we give information on opening hours, licensed or byo, wheelchair access and a lot more.
