Also on that list, a solo outing for Miguel Maestre, an exuberant Murciano who has opened El Toro Loco (49-53 South Steyne, Ph 9977 0999) with an impressive-looking Spanish wine list and some tapas I am really looking forward to. I’ll get there in a few weeks — he’s only been open since Jan 18 and old-fashioned me thinks a restaurant has to bed down before trying it out. I remember Miguel taking his chef’s coat to the after party following a big Ferran Adrià event — and getting the maestro to sign the Maestre jacket. Big fan.
