 Now, here’s a ripping idea from Ravesi’s (cnr Campbell Parade and Hall Street, Ph 9365 4422), the Zabriskie Book Club meeting on the last Tuesday of every month  in the Drift cocktail lounge where (winter’s a-coming) there’s a fire and drinks and book talk. It kicked off too late for this column in April with a book called A Lion Called Christian by Ace Bourke and John Rendall. The next meeting of the club is Tuesday, May 26, when Phillip Jones will be talking about his book, Ochre & Rust: Artefacts and Encounters on Australia’s Frontiers. Jones won the non-fiction category in the 2008 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards for this book
