I uncovered this cute little New York-based food site while tooling around on the computer early in January. Its centrepiece is a little TV show — foodie news with Clara Park and a series of (archived) interviews and stories. There’s a hilarious Bickering Foodies discussion between the venerable and feisty food writer Barbara Kafka and restaurant Wd~50 molecular chef and disciple of guess-which-Spanish-chef?, Wylie Dufresne. Tasting Dufresne’s pickled sweet potato, Kafka says archly, “I actually don’t like that. I have a feeling that there’s more concept in that sweet potato than there is gratification, except intellectually.” Ouch. Punch it in. Also on, this wonderful quote from the Governator, his Schwarzneggerness: “I love Thanksgiving turkey ... it’s the only time in Los Angeles that you see natural breasts
