Finally
For years, we’ve driven past the Kings Cross Hotel (Level 1 248 William St, Ph 9331 9900) at the top of William Street and thought, damn, that’s a fine building; when is someone going to do something with it? They have. The Balcony, with a magical view down William, and across to Victoria Street and along Kings Cross Road will be open as a late-night supper club as well as for brunch, lunch and dinner. It’s taken six years to restore this wonderful old pub to more than its former glory with, eventually, all five floors offering bars, function areas and rooftop cocktails. Well worth a good long look.
