Finally, any chef/restaurateur who survives 10 years in this fickle, fashion-conscious town deserves wild applause. But to celebrate his 10 years at Alio (5 Baptist Street Surry Hills, Ph 8394 9368) Ashley Hughes is giving us a birthday present: a Greatest Hits Dinner celebrating his most popular plates over the decade, featuring stuff like Hawkesbury River calamari with fresh chilli and lemon; risotto with red wine pancetta and radicchio; and a pannacotta with fruit salad and mint.
