Sweetie pie
We’ve been watching her with interest — and eating her output with pleasure — for some time. We’re talking about pastry chef Leanne Beck of Sweet Infinity (53 Riley Street, Woolloomooloo Ph 9331 2448). It may be a tiny shop and she a tiny chef, but so good are the cakes and pies you have to get there early to see the full selection. Leanne started out as an employee of Infinity Sourdough Bakery up the road, but earlier this year she bought the shop from them. As well as raspberry tortes and marshmallows and maroons, there are savoury pies — duck l’orange and lamb and pea are just two of the flavoursome offerings.
