Citrus is still great this month as are apples, particularly Braeburn and Pink Lady varieties.  It’s been a fantastic rhubarb season and continues to be. Chef Gail Sellin at Blancmange in Petersham (last year’s joint Bent Fork award winner) is making rhubarb ripple ice cream and serving it with a delectable sticky ginger toffee pudding. Perfect to ward off the chill winds of August.
