While this restaurant’s Pittwater Road shopfront isn’t particularly pretty and the decor may be as Spartan as Leonidas, this place still has a lot going for it. Bliss? Well, if you define that as a casual eating house where you can take the whole family for a Friday night feast and where the atmosphere is fun and sometimes a little boisterous, and you’re a fan of straight-down-the-line Chinese, then perhaps yes. Our favourite dishes include san tong chicken $15.80 and crispy salt-and-pepper calamari $15.80. Peking duck can be enjoyed over two or three courses, $45 or $48, depending on your hunger levels, and you’d be hard pressed finding it done better anywhere else on the peninsula.
