Cuisine: Indian

You can start fights in the Indian community arguing over which is the best Indian in town but chef/owner Kumar Mahadevan’s Abhi’s will always be up there. Recently, he has hit it big on MasterChef, but don’t worry, the food is still superb — and surprisingly reasonably priced. Roam around the Subcontinent and start with a crisp masala dosa $12.80/$16.80 and then head to Goa for Kumar’s version of the legendary sweet, sour and hot vindaloo, beef amotik $20.80. Or you can travel the banquet route, starting at $39 a head for four, or $42.50 with rose kulfi — and we definitely recommend the rose kulfi option. The wine list always yields some interesting matches.
