JASMIN1
Cuisine: Lebanese
Owned by the family who established Lakemba’s original Jasmin then went on to open three others and sell them, their current and only restaurant has an even more splendiferous interior than the Lakemba one, with impressively rendered landscape murals and a striking atmospheric ceiling with inset dome lights. The same spanking-fresh halal ingredients and great value remain unchanged in the famous share platter of kibbe, kebab, kefte, homous, chicken, baba ganouj, best-ever falafels, tabouli, bread, salad and garlic sauce served with a side of olives, peppers and fresh mint $15. Like most Lebanese restaurants, Jasmin1 is vegetarian heaven with a meat-free version of the mixed platter (vegos get more falafels).
