ROAD TO GOA
Cuisine: Goan,Indian
As the name suggests, this eatery serves dishes from India’s former Portuguese colony along with plenty of other more mainstream Indian options. The shopping plaza location isn’t particularly spectacular but the subtle and enticing flavours are what keep this place buzzing. Start off with pan-fried crab cakes with ginger, lemon juice, mint and coriander, served with a honey and tamarind glaze $14.25. Come mains, it’s difficult to overlook prawn galmo, black tiger prawns sauteed with butter, black peppercorns, green chillies and mustard seeds $23.75. Happily, there’s a good number of vegetarian dishes to choose from, with the deliciously spicy cauliflower manchooran $15.90 our pick. A word of warning: Saturday nights can get pretty busy, so be sure to book.
