Sydney Eats Review
A giant photograph of a glorious Santorini sunset fills the main dining room wall and contrasts with the contemporary interior. Likewise, the menu is a mix of traditional and modern. Haloumi $14 and calamari $15 are both popular starters, and the various dips are excellent. For mains, moussaka $20 and slow-baked lamb and lemony potatoes $25 are satisfying traditional dishes, while a whole baby calamari stuffed with pine nuts and rice on a chilli tomato salsa is a standout. The Medusa dessert of ouzo strawberries, pomegranate coulis, anise icecream and crisp kataifi $14 is a fine way to finish. Service is family-style and very friendly and there’s a reasonable selection of local, New Zealand and Greek wines.
